INGREDIENTS
125g unsalted butter
250g soft light brown sugar
1 large egg
250g plain flour (all-purpose)
1/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp Hamlet’s Bakery Ground Cardamom
1/8 tsp ground cloves
75g Howdah Snacks Bakarwadi
METHOD
Preheat your oven to 170C (fan). In a large bowl, mix the sugars and butter together – you don’t need this to be super light and fluffy, just well combined. Add the egg and vanilla bean paste and mix until fully incorporated. Tumble in the sifted flour, bicarbonate of soda and spices, mix and bring together to a somewhat stiff dough. Tumble in the Bakarwadi snacks and gently mix until fully combined.
Grease 6 egg poachette/pastry rings with a little vegetable oil and place them on a full-sized baking sheet. Divide the dough between the rings and press down with your fingers to flatten slightly. Bake for 17-20 minutes.
Remove from the oven and allow them to cool for 10 minutes before gently removing the rings and allowing them to cool completely.
Once completely cool, drizzle with a little melted white chocolate and crushed Bakarwadi snacks!
